A house help who decided to avenge her sacking by robbing her employer’s ornaments was arrested by the police. The woman’s employment had been discontinued due to her rude behaviour. Dadar police arrested the accused within two weeks of the theft. According to the police, the accused was identified as Prajakta Pawar (23), who had applied for a house help’s job through a placement agency in Bhandup.
The agency posted her to one Ashawari Joshi’s residence in Dadar. Assistant Police Inspector Deepali Kulkarni from Dadar police station said, “Pawar had joined this job only two months ago. Her employer got fed up of her rude behaviour and her back-answers, and hired another help.” Angry at getting the sack, Pawar then decided to exact revenge by stealing jewels.
