A 33-year-old woman has registered an FIR against a Kerala man for allegedly raping her after making false promises of marrying her. It took the woman nearly eight years to learn that the accused identified as Binoy Balkrishna (35) was married. The woman met the man in 2009 at a dance bar when she was employed there.

According to the <a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/mumbai/mumbai-woman-finds-out-man-is-married-files-rape-complaint/articleshow/69818576.cms" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Times of India</a>, the accused, who claimed to be associated with construction business in Dubai began a physical relationship with the woman on the pretext of marrying her. According to the woman, he promised to marry her before leaving for Dubai in 2010, after she informed him that she was pregnant. The woman gave birth to a baby boy in 2010 and moved to Andheri in a rented house that he got for her.

In 2017, the man told her that due to some business problems he would not be able to pay her rent and expenses. In February 2018, the woman came across his Facebook profile which showed he was married to a woman in Kerala. When she questioned him, he threatened her with dire consequences. A case under IPC sections for rape, insult and criminal intimidation has been registered. Oshiwara police will issue a lookout circular to nab the suspect.

Mumbai: A year and Rs 3.34 crore later, Gokhale Bridge opens up Almost after a year since repair work started, Andheri's Gokhale Bridge was fully opened to the public on Sunday morning. The work, which started in July last year after the cantilever footpath on the southern end of the bridge collapsed, was carried out at a cost of R3.34 crore.
