Mumbai crosses seasonal monsoon rainfall average as Santacruz records 101.49 per cent

Santacruz weather station records 101.49 per cent of monsoon average till 1 pm on Sunday

Mumbai has now exceeded the annual average rainfall expected during the seasonal monsoon, with the Santacruz weather station recording 101.49 per cent of the monsoon average, with 2353.6 mm of rain recorded until September 13 against the seasonal average of 2319 mm. 

The Colaba weather station has recorded 88.40 per cent of the annual average, with 1851.9 mm of rain so far against its seasonal average of 2095 mm. Until the same day last year, Santacruz had recorded 2625.9 mm of rain (113.23 per cent), and Colaba recorded 1700.2 mm (81.16 per cent).
