D Y Patil, former governor of Bihar and Tripura and imminent educationist of the country was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday evening due to chest pain complaints.

The 80-year-old Padmashree awardee was apparently air lifted from Pune after he started experiencing discomfort. Treating cardiologists from the hospital confirmed that he is stable and will undergo angioplasty on Thursday.
