Day after adjourning defamation suit filled by 90-year-old woman to 2046, Bombay HC modifies order

The modification came a day after the court had sharply criticised the prolonged litigation, describing it as an “ego fight” between the parties at the “fag end of their lives”

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday revised its earlier decision to adjourn a long-pending defamation suit until 2046 filed by a 90-year-old woman, and instead scheduled the matter for hearing on July 15, 2026, reported the PTI.

The modification came a day after the court had sharply criticised the prolonged litigation, describing it as an “ego fight” between the parties at the “fag end of their lives”, the news agency reported.
