Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on Tuesday, addressing a protest rally against the Opposition for defeating the Women’s Reservation Bill, warned that this is only the beginning and asserted that the agitation will continue until women secure 33 per cent representation among MPs and MLAs under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Speaking at the conclusion of the ‘Janakrosh Morcha’ at the NSCI Dome in Worli, the CM said the Opposition has already seen the impact of schemes like “Ladki Bahin,” which, he claimed, weakened them to the extent that they could not even secure the Leader of Opposition post in Maharashtra, and accused them of now acting against women’s interests.
