When a cause and swanky cars come together Charisma Sheth, Krsna Mehta and students of Deonar&rsquo;s Gateway School, joined hands and their creative sensibilties to jazz up three designer Mercedes cars that will be be available to enthusiasts to hire every weekend at a price.

The proceeds from this intiative will go Gateway School. These cars will be formally unveiled in Churchgate on October 17.

Bhut Jolokia to fire up NYC! Mumbai&rsquo;s popular Assamese homechef Gitika Saikia is going places. After dishing out lip-smacking Northeastern fare to city foodies, she will host a pop-up in New York City on October 31.

Travelling to the States for a holiday next week, Saikia decided to get in touch with New York-based chef Anisha Samant to check if the Bi Apple was keen to try her food. &ldquo;We are Instagram friends. Anisha runs a restaurant there and hosts pop-ups at home.
She thought it would be a great idea to host an Assamese pop-up. I&rsquo;m grateful to her for opening her home to me,&rdquo; says Saikia. At $55, the meal will include Potato Mash, Brinjal Fritters, Bamboo Shoot Pork Curry and Assamese Chicken.
When asked if NYC will get to savour her fiery hot Bhut Jolokia pickle, she replies, &ldquo;Yes! I don&rsquo;t know how many will be able to stomach it but at least, they&rsquo;ll know what the second-most hottest chilli in the world tastes like!&rdquo;
The long beach haul in Diu Move over Goa. Diu will play host to the Diu International Festival, over 75 days, making it Asia&rsquo;s longest-running beach festival. A unique celebration of art, music and culture, it is scheduled for December 2015 and February 2016.

And from what we learnt so far, Indian musicians and acrs like Indian Ocean, Kailasa by Kailash Kher, Benny Dayal, Hard Kaur and pop icon Neeraj Sridhar are expected to perform at the venue. But it isn&rsquo;t just about the music.
The festival has plans to pack in jam sessions, concerts, literary and art programmes and workshops too. Stand-up comic, Vir Das will lighten things up with his gags. &ldquo;With the Diu International Festival, our aim is to put Diu on the world map as a global destination for culture and festivities.
We aim to re-create the Ilha de Calma (Portuguese: Isle of calm) into a culturally enriching hotspot for locals and tourists,&rdquo; says Shubhra Bhardwaj, founder of Ferriswheel Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, organisers of the current edition of the festival.
