&ldquo;Though my book is about my experiences of India as a journalist, the first chapter is about the treatment of women, I chose to write about being abused as a child only because I didn&rsquo;t want to sweep it under the carpet and be pseudo when I was talking about the kind of things women go through in this country,&rdquo; she revealed.

The inauguration witnessed an enthralling performance of Rabindranath Tagore&rsquo;s Kabuliwalah in Pashto by students of Kabul University. This was followed by a discussion on history and fiction with noted author Amitav Ghosh.
Supriya Chaudhuri, an English scholar, and Mukul Kesavan, noted historian, also made interesting contributions to the discussion spearheaded by Jayanta Sengupta. Busy time to be an author, no?

Out now, the single, Dil Kya Kare (Did I Love You?), marks the debut of 21-year-old USA-based R&amp;B/Pop artiste Amrit Dasu aka DASU. Co-written and produced by Rishi Rich, and released by Universal Music, the song speaks of love and longing, and even laces in a sample of Kishore Kumar&rsquo;s timeless hit, Dil Kya Kare (Julie, 1975) in female voice.
We&rsquo;re still to make up our minds about the number but the video has some classy frames. Our pick: the one with Ms Sherawat decked up in a flowing red gown, twirling in a swimming pool.
