Happy 80th, Zubin Mehta! The last time Zubin Mehta was in Mumbai, in September 2015, he had the audience following every move of his baton. Accompanying the Australian World Orchestra on their maiden India tour, he left Mumbai, with a promise that he would return soon.

He&rsquo;s kept his promise. As part of The Mehli Mehta Music Foundation&rsquo;s celebrations to honour maestro Mehta on his 80th birthday, the city will play host to three concerts scheduled for April 17, 18 and 20 at the NCPA.
The legend will lead the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra along with iconic soloists like Pinchas Zukerman, Denis Matsuev, Amanda Forsyth, Andrea Bocelli and Maria Katzarava in attendance. Mumbai&rsquo;s Western Classical music aficionados had better get their hands on tickets for the prized concerts. Do we see queues forming, already!
Queer reel Queer Ink, the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) bookstore, holds a number Q-Fests where debate, discussions, films, conversations and workshops bring community issues to the fore. The latest initiative is a screening of five short films based on the lives of LGBT people, conceptualised by Malati Rao and produced by Queer Ink founder, Shobhna Kumar.

The stories of Urmi Jadhav, a hijda; Sid M, a transman (a woman who underwent a sex change in 2013); Harish Iyer and his mother Padma (who posted a path-breaking matrimonial ad); Anuja P, a lesbian, and Saumitra Chandratreya, a queer, are told in their own words. The films will be screened on Sunday at 4 pm at Pali Hill&rsquo;s Cuckoo Club. Let the cameras rock&lsquo;n&rsquo;roll, we say.

In the book, she busts the much-hyped diet-facts and fears, and presents uncomplicated mantras to eat right in order to combat hormonal imbalances and thus, take control over the endocrinological system. While flipping through the book, we noticed a handwritten (scanned) letter by Kareena vouching for it, and its relevance for women. Smart marketing move.
