The Bachelorr is in Bandra? Our favourite late-night stop in town, Bachelorr&rsquo;s, has finally made its way to the &rsquo;burbs. The week-old outpost is located next to Candies at Bandra Reclamation, and seats around 25 people (although you can always request them to serve you in your car, as you would at the original outlet).
We were excited when we found out that not only will they serve us classics like the fruit-and-cream and green chilly ice cream, but also a new batch of small eats. And if you live in the area but are too lazy to step out, they&rsquo;ll deliver right to your doorstep. Sweeter days are here!
Not allowed in front of ladies Aisi Taisi Democracy, a musical comedy show featuring Indian Ocean&rsquo;s Rahul Ram, satirist Sanjay Rajoura and writer/comedian Varun Grover is known to not mince words when taking on the political establishment. Not long after, yesterday, he had a first-hand experience to share. The group&rsquo;s performance was stopped midway because some members of the faculty of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, decided that they were using dirty words &ldquo;in front of ladies.&rdquo;
Grover narrated the incident in detail in a Facebook post in the page of the group, which has been shared widely. He writes, &ldquo;Many of them (again, both male and female students) wrote to us later in private messages of how ashamed they feel of this mindset of moral-clampdown.&rdquo; The debate on what can and cannot be said on stage just got more steam.

A great initiative for the big bird Next week, BNHS will be celebrating Wildlife Week. They will kickstart it with the release of a documentary on the critically endangered Great Indian Bustard. One of the largest birds that can fly, the bird was originally an inhabitant of grasslands in India and Pakistan.

Today, it has disappeared from 95% of its original habitat. The documentary has been produced by BNHS and the Office of the Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) in Pune, and aims to create awareness about the fast-disappearing species. The screening will be followed by a talk by renowned ornithologist Dr Asad Rahmani.
Community saviour? Actor-funster Boman Irani (of 3 Idiots) had the audience laughing their guts out when he shared &lsquo;comic-crazy instances in real-life tragic situations&rsquo; at a discussion with (Tanu Weds Manu) director Anand Rai on Humour in Cinema as part of the Celebrate Cinema session convened by Subhash Ghai.

Resorting to jovial jibes at the fast-dying Parsi community he groused, that the seniors often pester him by saying &ldquo;kuchh karo yaar&rdquo;. &ldquo;What am I supposed to do, go for a honeymoon?
