The power-packed selfie The 22nd Kolkata International Film Festival began yesterday and looking at its star-studded inauguration ceremony, one thing is clear &mdash; celebs from B-Town can&rsquo;t seem to get enough of film fests. Even as news from the recently concluded film fest in Mumbai is still doing the rounds, we are already flooded with tweets from stars all gung-ho about the event.
While SRK was excited to be off to &lsquo;his&rsquo; city of joy, Kajol tweeted this (almost) chirpy selfie yesterday saying, &ldquo;A lil blurred but such a clear women&rsquo;s club. Had to put it out!&rdquo; With a politician and an actress in the same frame, perhaps Mrs Bachchan was trying to decide if she&rsquo;d had the best of both worlds.

Mumbai is your urban canvas Over the last one year, a community of sketchers often picks a corner at railway stations, Flora Fountain (in pic), bus stops, and cafes, and even visits Elephanta and Kanheri caves to observe scenes around them and draw them on paper. They are part of the Mumbai chapter of Urban Sketchers, a global non-profit of artists who practise on-location drawing.

&ldquo;The idea is to encourage you to draw from the life around you, rather than memory and imagination. This way, your observation power increases,&rdquo; says sketch artist Kishan Dev, the founder of the city chapter, who will conduct a free 60-minute workshop today at Doolally Taproom to introduce guests to the community, debunk myths related to sketching for newbies, inform them about common drawing tools and showcase works of other Urban Sketchers.

However, there&rsquo;s bigger news: we hear that Massive Restaurants, which owns the brand, will be introducing three more outlets by March 2017, in Mumbai and Delhi.
&ldquo;With a ceiling height of over 70 feet, the first outlet in Delhi will be the tallest restaurant in the NCR,&rdquo; says Zorawar Kalra of Massive. This outlet will throw its doors open to patrons next month.

A new music and arts festival is coming to Indian shores next year. GOAT, the three-day festival, will be held at Ashvem and Morjim beaches in Goa from January 27 to 29. Artistes from performing arts, music, theatre and spoken word will be a part of the carnival. The festival is keen to establish itself as a merger between contemporary and traditional art forms.
The event is a GOAT Music production &mdash; a music and events agency founded by music moguls Dave Gaydon and Lou Birkett. &ldquo;After leaving The Roundhouse in the summer of 2015, never would we have imagined to be able to present our own festival in the UK, let alone in India.
The reception has been so encouraging, we are very grateful to be working in such a progressive and creative landscape. We are counting days,&rdquo; says Gaydon. The line-up announced so far includes Gilles Peterson, jazz duo Yussef Kamal, and Indian acts like Donn Bhat + Passenger Revelator, Madboy/ Mink, among others. The tickets are available on sale at www.goatfestival.co.uk already.
This Children&rsquo;s Day, go vroom What is 21 feet tall and measures 110 feet in length? The tallest and longest Hot Wheels track, of course. And you can catch a glimpse of it at a popular mall in Kurla till Monday. The track, featuring five continuous loops, is part of an event for kids called Make it Epic.
