Sapna Bhavnani bares it all When celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani took to Twitter to announce that she is writing a memoir with HarperCollins India, she aroused great curiosity.

For starters, Bhavnani used the hashtag #ChapterOne, in the tweet. This diarist couldn&rsquo;t resist asking her if she had already begun work on it. Turns out, the hairstylist began writing this memoir seven years ago. &ldquo;But, chapter one was so good that the second chapter could never compete with it. Hence, I gave up writing,&rdquo; she says. Bhavnani is now back to penning her book, which is expected to release next year.
&ldquo;Through this book, I want to help break many silences. When you are silent about something violent, it can get very suffocating,&rdquo; says Bhavnani, who was a victim of sexual assault when she was 24. &ldquo;I personally believe that writing this book, will help me heal. Till I don&rsquo;t help myself, I won&rsquo;t be able to help anyone,&rdquo; she adds.

This time, the trio has collaborated with pop singer Apeksha Dandekar for their song, Chal Hatt. With a a video that features a dance battle, the song is peppered with Marathi phrases like nako yeus majha vaateta (don&rsquo;t come in my way).
&ldquo;The track has a rebellious and need-to-revolt kind of attitude. It&rsquo;s our way of saying &lsquo;chal hatt&rsquo; to the conventional,&rdquo; says Dandekar, who has penned the lyrics. We like!
Shefali comes out It&rsquo;s never too late to pick up the brush and get busy with a canvas, and actor Shefali Shah has done just that. We were at Concern India&rsquo;s Monsoon Art Show, watching art pieces getting sold by the minute.

This time, in its sixteenth edition, and its first at Jehangir Art Gallery, the show saw a good mix of works by veteran, upcoming as well as lesser privileged artists. The charming actor (how can we forget her performance in Dil Dhadakne Do) dropped by to support the cause, and we realised that it wasn&rsquo;t just for moral support.
There, on the walls, was an acrylic work from her &lsquo;Perspective&rsquo; series. Turns out we had a closet artist in our midst. &ldquo;It started with my kids learning painting, and I hopped on the bandwagon,&rdquo; she quips. Training under Julius Macwan, who ran Last Ship, in Chuim Village, Shah is dead serious about her passion.
&ldquo;I want to show at Jehangir, but there is a waiting period till 2018. Now, seeing my work here, amid senior artists, it feels great,&rdquo; she says. What can one say when a buyer comes up and tells you that not only do they love your work but their kids remember every dialogue from each of your movies? Ah, well.
It&rsquo;s Shishir on Sunny at CCI today Sunil Gavaskar&rsquo;s 67th birthday will be celebrated at the Cricket Club of India today. No, the batting legend is not throwing a party. Hattangadi opened the innings with the great batsman for Mumbai in first-class cricket on several occasions. Hattangadi promises to project the funny side of Gavaskar in his Sunday talk, but on a serious note, Daily Dossier asked Hattangadi what was it like to open the innings with India&rsquo;s greatest Test opening batsman.
&ldquo;He would put you at ease. Even before I walked out to open the innings with him in my debut game in 1981, I knew a lot about his mannerisms, so it became easier in the middle. I once asked him how come he manages to look through people, who were wishing him good luck before going into bat, and he said, &lsquo;once I&rsquo;m padded up, I get in to a zone of solitude.
I know it&rsquo;s going to be lonely out there in the middle for the next couple of hours with only my partner at the other end, so better get used to it and be alone with yourself,&rsquo;&rdquo; Hattangadi revealed. Doubtless, there will be more revelations. Over to the former Mumbai captain!
Andheri to get a new open kitchen Chef Bhakti Mehta, who started Little Food Co six years ago, and recently launched Little Food Daily, a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner delivery service in Andheri, is tightening her apron strings to launch an open kitchen studio, right above her Four Bungalows kitchen.

&ldquo;I am going to host cooking classes, experimental dinners, and events for loyal customers to try out our new menus,&rdquo; says the self-taught chef, who took to the kitchen out of her own necessity for tasty food.
The Bandra leg of Little Food Daily is slated to open in October, she tells us. From catering for Masaba&rsquo;s bridal shower to satisfying Meera Kapur&rsquo;s food cravings, her celebrity clientele also includes Vikramaditya Motwane and Ayushman Khurana.
For the past three years, she has been catering the vegetarian fare at Huma Qureshi&rsquo;s Eid Party. &ldquo;This year, we did pumpkin brie samosas, mini vada pavs, hummus and muhammra shots,&rdquo; says Mehta.
