Heavily active on social media (and rightly so), on Chand Raat, the Girls at Dhabas embarked on an adventure to create small pop-up havens to encourage a different kind of solidarity &lsquo;Behenchara&rsquo;.
Behenchara that allowed them to imagine a world where females can be equally represented in public spaces. The photos posted on social media deserve applause, from idea to its execution. Something to try out in amchi Mumbai, perhaps?

Bad theatre call As the play begins, the audience sees a veteran actor on stage; the sets recreate a kotha that dates back to the era of nawabs and begums. Lines roll out effortlessly, transporting the audience to another time.
The mood vanishes in a flash as soon as the protagonist, Bollywood starlet, Daisy Shah who recently turned her attention to theatre, delivers her lines. Her diction is all over the place. Despite a pretty face and a superlative supporting caste, the bland dialogue delivery and the lack of emoting in intense scenes ruined the mood.
Films allow distractions to cover up for quality, but theatre is a lot less forgiving. At this particular show, the actress&rsquo; restless entourage kept flitting from one end of the auditorium to the other, and that didn&rsquo;t help matters. We&rsquo;re quite certain that bringing the young actress on board was a commercial decision. Let&rsquo;s hope she doesn&rsquo;t do an encore of this theatrical (mis)adventure.
What&rsquo;s in a name? This one is a heads-up for weary souls looking for a quick getaway. If you&rsquo;re planning to head to Nashik&rsquo;s Beyond resort by Sula, you might want to backspace, and change that to Soma Vineyard Resort.
