The city&rsquo;s oldest museum was conferred with the International Quality Award in the Gold Category that will be awarded at the International BID Quality Convention in London on November 20.
This award is being given as a result of research and analyses carried out by a process of consultation in which BID&rsquo;s Honorary Members, Quality Ambassadors and Quality Hunters, participate, along with BID&rsquo;s panel of experts who do a rigourous assessment of the organisation. Customer satisfaction, leadership, technology, best practice and business results are some of the benchmarks that are looked into before the honour is conferred.
Being awarded to companies and professionals from 179 companies and professionals since 1979, the idea is to hail those spaces that act as catalysts for the community. It&rsquo;s the first time that BID has expanded to include cultural organisations, and Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum was selected in this first round. The museum joins a select band of India awardees that include Reliance Industries, TATA, Indian Oil Corporation and Arcelor Mittal.
