Classic call for SoBo
South Mumbai just got its newest restaurant. Called Baroke (a take on Baroque), the restaurant is located in Grant Road and showcases the Baroque style that was popular in the 17th century (think opulent, glitzy interiors, chandeliers et al). The menu appears to have a mixed bag of dishes from around the world, which, like most other eateries these days, places emphasis on local ingredients. We’re excited by the performance area though, which aims to cater to the arts, be it music, dance or theatre. In venue-starved Mumbai, it is a delight to see more eateries opening their doors to engaging performances.
