<p>Can Bandra ever run out of caf&eacute;s? We think the answer is no. The newest one on the block is Breve 2.0 near Reclamation. More than just a coffee spot, the space is designed to bring together runners, cyclists, and coffee lovers. One of its biggest draws is the Build Your Own Breakfast Board, which lets guests customise their meal by choosing three or five items from freshly baked sourdough, eggs cooked to preference, avocado, Greek yoghurt, smoked salmon, halloumi, chicken sausages, seasonal fruits, and house-made cakes.</p>

<p>The concept reflects the founders&rsquo; vision that encourages people to connect and recharge before or after their day. &ldquo;From the beginning, our focus has been on creating experiences that people return to,&rdquo; said co-founder Farhaz Bhadelia. Co-founder Usman Bhadelia added, &ldquo;As an athlete, I wanted to create a space where movement and great hospitality could naturally coexist.&rdquo;</p>

<p>After Shershaah (2021) brought late Captain Vikram Batra&rsquo;s heroic story to the fore, a new title by his twin brother Vishal Batra and author Anupama Mehta will revisit his life on his 27th death anniversary month in July. Titled Yeh Dil Maange More: <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/bollywood-news/article/shershaah-movie-review-in-tears-man-23187611" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Remembering Captain Vikram Batra, My Brother (Penguin Veer), </a>inspired by the war cry Captain Batra immortalised, the book will be a tell-all recollection of the warm, humorous, and determined man behind the uniform.</p>

<p>Patrick Duffy, Consul General of Ireland in Mumbai, brought a touch of Bloomsday to the city. Last week, the Consul General joined a few members of his team to visit <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/how-forts-colonial-past-shaped-mumbais-modern-identity-23498844" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">the University Library, Fort, and the Nehru Centre Library, Worli.</a> &ldquo;June 16 is the date on which James Joyce&rsquo;s (above) classic, Ulysses, is set. The day is celebrated as Bloomsday after its protagonist, Leopold Bloom,&rdquo; shared Arati Desai, librarian and documentation officer, Nehru Centre Library.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The Consul General visited the two libraries, met with the Centre CEO, Nitin Kareer, and also donated works of Joyce, WB Yeats, and other Irish writers. They later had a small gathering at Plate &amp; Pint, with actor Denzil Smith reading a few lines from Joyce&rsquo;s novel,&rdquo; she added.</p>

<p>The recent spate of falling trees might have a reason. &ldquo;Trees require soil, and concretisation robs them of oxygen, nutrients, and water. Today, we will work with the Garden Department&rsquo;s team, and volunteers to survey and document trees across 18 wards, to plan further steps,&rdquo; shared Rohit Joshi, president, Yeoor Environmental Society. Working in tandem, Kevin Pinto, core member, Walking Project India shared, &ldquo;We are assisting in collecting geotagged photographs and creating a database of affected trees. Our next step is to discuss ways to implement the use of tree basins, grates, according to the rules of the Indian Road Congress (IRC).&rdquo; Readers can lend a hand by logging on to @walking-projectindia to lend a hand.</p>
