Of course, who can forget some truly memorable Sunday afternoon cinema viewing too. So, we were thrilled to learn that Doordarshan has tied up with the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya to present a three-day &lsquo;Best of Indian Cinema Film Festival&rsquo; that commences on August 21.
The festival will include screenings like Shagird (Tigmanshu Dhulia), Harud (Aamir Bashir), Ninizhalkkuthu (Adoor Gopalakrishnan) and The Last Lear (Rituparno Ghosh). Shows begin at 12 noon on all three days and will be screened at CSMVS.

A few years ago this music producer, composer, songwriter and singer turned writer when he signed book deal with Harper Collins for fiction and non-fiction books. His autobiography, titled Made in India, has now been relaunched with additions. The book was originally launched in 2010 and traces his journey from India to the United Kingdom and his struggles as a musician.

Cow&rsquo;s that! So we were watching kids whip up delectable dishes on MasterChef Junior (US) when something strange caught our eye. The channel beeped out the word after &lsquo;Drunken&rsquo; from the name of a 12-year-old boy&rsquo;s dream restaurant that he would like to open one day.

Not just that, it blurred out the word in the little boy&rsquo;s pencil sketch as well. Intrigued, we decided to find out the word that was deemed unsuitable for public viewing. A quick Google search revealed that the word in question was &lsquo;Cow&rsquo;.
As 12-year-old Sean explained, he liked cooking with different meats and wines, hence the name &lsquo;Drunken Cow&rsquo;. However, this explanation was clearly not good enough for the keepers of our morality. Seems the censors have taken the beef ban in the state to heart!
