In memory of Shivaji
Raigad Fort, a popular destination for city folks seeking a brief holiday, is also the place where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj breathed his last. (His coronation had also been held here.) Naturally the fort is gearing up to mark the occasion, as the number of visitors is expected to rise around this date, April 3 (the eve of Hanuman Jayanti).
