Boring bus rides just got a fresh spin! Laalpari Konkanwaari, a Ganpati decoration created by cinematographer Parag Sawant in Parel, is taking nostalgia on the road. Inspired by his grandmother&rsquo;s life in the Konkan, the journey begins at Parshuram Ghat, where she would say, &ldquo;Now, this feels like the Konkan.&rdquo;

From mango trees and village wells, to temple bells and sweetness of coconut water, every memory comes alive. Sawant hopes more generations reconnect with their roots through this decoration. &ldquo;Everything around us is changing rapidly, and before the red bus becomes a distant memory, I want all generations to know the value of what we have,&rdquo; he told this diarist.

The quartet of Kaikeyi, Draupadi, Sita, and Karaikal Ammaiyar are on the march this September. Keelaka Dance Company co-founders, Aneesha Grover and Jyotsna Shourie&rsquo;s Rebel Ranis, will perform in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Mumbai this month.
