Cricket throws up a whole range of trivia and and which newspaper dishes that trivia better than the one you are reading. This diarist wants to tell you that not only was <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/asiad-gold-wont-be-easy-former-indian-captain-sunil-gavaskar-23648878" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">India&rsquo;s batting legend Sunil Gavaskar</a> born at the Dr Purandare Hospital, Chowpatty (July 10, 1949) but his deceased India opening partner Aunshuman Gaekwad was born there too, in 1952.

Aunshu to friends, he would have been 74 today. Gavaskar learnt about this interesting fact from us only a couple of years ago, and was delighted.

After sojourns in Kochi, and Goa, and The Coconut Boy in Mumbai, chef-restaurateur Rohan D&rsquo;Souza (below) has set sights on London. Bulbul, D&rsquo;Souza&rsquo;s latest collaboration with restaurateur Twinkle Keswani is making a statement.

The resourcefulness, grit, and nose for a story that led him to regions like Kosovo, Iran, Rwanda, and Haiti, make for a candid story about a lifetime in the news. In addition, the book also offers an insight into a time when the old political order gave way to the present.
