Don&rsquo;t touch the car In a city like Mumbai, where fancy cars are dime a dozen, it was quite surprising to see a Porsche being fiercely guarded by two bulky bodyguards outside a government office in Parel.

The towering guards were eyeing every passerby as a potential threat and even shooing away birds from bringing their business near the flashy car. The owner of the car may have entered the office discreetly, but his car parked by the roadside certainly grabbed all eyeballs, courtesy the little muscle show by the bodyguards.

Sydney shows the way Following the terrifying siege in a cafe in Sydney, Australia, people might have been justified in eyeing their fellow citizens with suspicion. A small band of people tweeting their support quickly grew into a wider movement, under the hashtag #illridewithyou. The message began to spread: &ldquo;Let Muslim Australians know you&rsquo;ve got their back. Tweet #illridewithyou and your public transport route.&rdquo;
People even went further, one tweeting: &ldquo;If you need #illridewithyou. I&rsquo;ll even drive you round if you need.&rdquo; As one tweeter said, &ldquo;#illridewithyou radiates the spirit of Australian mateship.&rdquo; We just hope this spirit radiates to the whole world.
Tigers take a coffee break Spotted: Shiv Sena supreme Uddhav Thackeray along with son Aditya Thackeray entering the spiffy The Tasting Room restaurant at the Raghuvanshi Mills compound in Lower Parel, late last afternoon, at approximately 3 pm.
There was a sudden flurry of excitement which caused the late lunch crowd, some of them enjoying their wine, to look up. In came Uddhav, with Aditya and some other men, along with a handful of security staff.
They walked in and were ushered towards the rear end of the restaurant. Aditya was seen taking a selfie underneath a chandelier. Hmmm&hellip; a taste of more than politics for the Shiv Sena cub.
The spirit of things This is Mumbai, city of opportunity if nothing else. If there is a trend, you can be sure you&rsquo;ll find it in the shops, the street-side stalls and even in the itinerant railway vendors&rsquo; motley collections.
