This year, on the cricket heartthrob&rsquo;s 34th birthday that fell yesterday, the salon in Bandra offered a 20% discount. The popular hairstylist told us that she noticed how MS Dhoni appeared stressed out of late, and constantly in the media spotlight, and so this was her idea was to show him that he is loved.

Beijing has a slew of advertisements in public places depicting environmental issues in Indian cities like Mumbai. This is to warn people about the impact of climate change and encourage them toplan a future around low carbon development.
The long wait for the garland The flurry of activity around the appointment of Sanjay Deshmukh as the new Vice- Chancellor of Mumbai University was expected. So, while all the media waited to capture the moment when he would take his place on the hot seat, the new VC had a very specific request.

He would assume his new seat only after he could seek the blessings of Lord Ganesh; there was a condition the idol needed to be garlanded. Office bearers took an hour to return with a garland, even as assembled folk waited. It was placed on Lord Ganesh, after which Deshmukh prayed to the Almighty, and took office.
Andhra comes to Andheri While we love to start our mornings with idlis, dosas and filter kapis at Madras Cafe and the likes, we were pleasantly excited when we heard that the city will finally get a restaurant that would serve traditional cuisine from Andhra Pradesh.

This new space, in Juhu Versova Link Road, opened a week ago. It&rsquo;s called Gonguura, which means leafy plant in Telugu, and we are told that it is used in many Andhra dishes including a chutney called Gonguura Pachadi.
Thrilled with the arrival of a regional cuisine to our city, we checked out the menu (100% vegetarian) and were piqued at their dishes that include special Andhra style thalis, MLA Pesarattu, Perugu Wada (medu wada soaked in curd) and a dish called Pappu Annam that includes rice, pickle and ghee.
The last mention tastes best when eaten with your fingers. Slurp! We can&rsquo;t wait to sample this menu. Look out for the anonymous review in our pages, sometime next week.
