A Juhu doctor landed in trouble after he urged citizens to stay indoors amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the city. On Thursday, as Mumbai reported over 5,000 fresh COVID-19 cases for the second consecutive day, the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Municipal Commissioner I.S. Chahal assured people that the situation was under control and there was no reason to panic.
According to a report in Times of India, after Chahal's statement, a Juhu-based doctor took to social media and requested people to stay away from offices and social gatherings. The doctor even asked people to avoid vaccination centres for the next few days.
