Vivek Prabhudas Torne, a retired professional from Haffkine Institute, recently underwent a rare minimally invasive laser procedure to remove 12 bladder stones, despite experiencing none of the severe pain typically associated with such cases.

“The only symptom or discomfort that I experienced for two months was extreme burning sensation. For that, our general physician had advised me to drink lots of water and had given some medication. However, even after two months when my burning sensation did not reduce, I showed my sonography reports to one of my doctor friends at another private hospital, where I was advised to get a surgery done,” said Torne, 67.
