Members from Save Aarey Milk Colony (SAMC) group met Tree Authority officials yesterday; say BMC officials assured best possible help

In their efforts to save the 2,298 trees in the Aarey Milk Colony, which will be chopped to clear the site for building a car depot for the Metro Line-3, members of the Save Aarey Milk Colony (SAMC) group met Tree Authority officials yesterday, and requested them to deny permission to the Mumbai Metropolitan Development Authority (MMRDA) to cut the trees.

The Save Aarey Milk Colony group is strongly opposed to plans to cut almost 3,000 trees to make way for the CBS Metro III project. File pic
