Mumbai: Eknath Shinde reviews Kanjurmarg dumping ground, orders stronger odour control

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday directed civic authorities to strengthen odour-control measures at the Kanjurmarg dumping ground, citing persistent complaints from nearby residents about foul smell.

Chairing a review meeting at Mantralaya, Shinde said the spraying of odour-neutralising solutions must be intensified and closely monitored. He also called for large-scale bamboo plantation within the dumping ground to help contain the spread of odour.
