We had on August 15 put the spotlight on the indiscriminate axing of trees, shanties encroaching on mangroves and hawkers on pavements, and unregulated development. 

Most footpaths are still unusable, redevelopment works are unmonitored, and sites of archaeological and ecological significance ignored.
