A major fire broke out early Monday morning at Jyoti Hotel, located in the Chakala area of Andheri East, causing panic among guests and local residents. The incident occurred around 3:00 am on the sixth floor of the building, quickly engulfing parts of the hotel and trapping several occupants inside.

According to officials, 35 people were trapped inside the hotel when the fire broke out. Upon receiving the emergency alert, the Mumbai Fire Brigade rushed to the spot with five fire tenders. Firefighters worked diligently for nearly an hour to bring the fire under control and safely evacuated all 35 individuals.

Remarkably, there were no casualties or injuries reported in the incident. However, several rooms within the hotel were completely gutted in the blaze. Thick smoke and flames could be seen billowing from the top floor as the operation continued into the early hours of the morning.

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown. Fire department officials, along with the Andheri police, have launched an investigation to determine the source of the blaze. Preliminary reports suggest no immediate evidence of electrical faults or gas leaks, but officials have not ruled out any possibilities.

Further inspections are underway to assess the extent of the damage and the structural safety of the building.
