According to the fire department, the fire broke out at around 4.03 am. There has been no injury or fatalities in the accident

A level-2 fire broke out at a cloth godown in Mumbai's Kurla area on Friday. As many as eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot. 

According to the fire department, the fire broke out at around 4.03 am. There has been no injury or fatalities in the accident. The fire was doused at 11.20 am by the fire fighters.


The incident took place in the third Gulab Galli opposite Deluxe Hotel on LBS Marg in Kurla.

The fire officials informed that the fire spread to five to six adjoining galas (commercial spaces), but it was confined to the electrical wiring, installations, plywood and other things stored there. 

The firefighters said that the fire has been covered from all sides and efforts are on to douse it. 

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
