The fire broke out in more than 10 shops on Fashion street near Azad Maidan in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/churchgate-all" rel="nofollow">Churchgate</a> on Saturday afternoon, the Mumbai Fire Brigade reported.
The level 1 fire broke out at 1.02 pm and was extinguished soon after. No injuries were reported in the incident.
"After the fire brigade was alerted about the incident, six fire engines were rushed to the spot," the official said, adding that the blaze was extinguished in around 15 minutes.
The cause of the blaze is being ascertained.
