Mumbai civic body races to repair 1200 mm water pipeline in Kurla; supply hit in several areas

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is carrying out urgent repair work on a damaged 1200 mm diameter water main in Kurla South, which has disrupted supply in several areas since Saturday. Officials said the pipeline, located five metres underground, is being repaired under difficult conditions

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said it is working on an urgent basis to repair a damaged 1200 mm diameter water main in the Kurla South area, which has disrupted water supply in several parts of the locality since Saturday.

According to an update shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on social media platform X, the pipeline—located at a depth of around five metres—has been under continuous repair since Saturday evening.
