Mumbai lake levels: Water reserves increase to 57.75 per cent of total capacity

Among the seven lakes, Bhatsa registered the highest rise in water level over the past 24 hours, increasing by 1.38 metres. The reservoir now holds 3,73,983 ML, or 52.16 per cent of its live storage capacity. Bhatsa also received 100 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours, taking its cumulative rainfall to 1,415 mm

The total water stock in the seven lakes supplying drinking water to Mumbai has risen to 8,35,919 million litres (ML), or 57.75 per cent of their total live storage capacity, according to the Hydraulic Engineer's Department, BMC, in its report released at 6 am on Tuesday, July 21.

The city's reservoirs collectively hold 8,35,919 ML of water out of the full storage capacity of 14,47,363 ML.
