Relentless monsoon showers over the past two days have given a major boost to Mumbai's drinking water reserves, with the combined water stock in the city's seven reservoirs surging by 12.44 percentage points in just 24 hours to reach 41.36 per cent of total live storage capacity. 

Over the past 48 hours, reservoir levels have jumped by 24.44 percentage points, as heavy rainfall continued to replenish the lakes supplying water to the city.
