Mumbai local train updates: Central Railway to face major disruptions with seven blocks from Nov 24

Central Railway commuters should brace for major disruptions beginning this weekend, with seven large-scale operational blocks scheduled across multiple sections between November 24 and early December 2025.

According to internal schedules, blocks will be carried out across the Panvel-Kalamboli, Badlapur, Nilje-Dativali, and Lonavala-Lonavala Yard sections. Several blocks will continue into early December, with the Nilje-Dativali stretch also set for additional shutdowns on December 7 and 8.


Train operations across suburban, harbour line and long-distance corridors are expected to be affected, with the long-duration Lonavala Yard block expected to cause a significant impact between November 26 and 29.



A mega block was operated on the Thane-Kalyan fast line on Sunday, November 23. A special traffic and power block was also carried out between Kasara and Khardi for the commissioning of a new Electronic Interlocking system at Umbermali, part of the ongoing third line project between Kalyan and Kasara. This block was in force from 10.40 pm on November 22 to 7.40 am on November 23, affecting early morning 
long-distance services.

The special traffic and power block between Nilje and Dativali on the Up and Down lines for dismantling of the existing road overbridge at Shilphata in connection with Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation project will be operated between 1.10 am and 4.10 am. On November 25/26, train no 12134 Mangaluru-CSMT Superfast Express will be regulated at Kalamboli for 50 minutes. On November 30 and December 1, train no 12134 Mangaluru-CSMT Superfast Express will be regulated at Kalamboli for 50 minutes and train no 22193 Daund-Gwalior Superfast Express will be diverted via Karjat-Kalyan-Vasai Road and halt will be provided at Kalyan.

1 Panvel-Kalamboli:
From night of November 20/21 to December 2/3, 2025

2 Badlapur:
From November 22/23 to December 3/4, 2025

3 Nilje-Dativali:
From November 25/26 to December 2/3, 2025
Additional blocks: December 7/8, 2025

4 Lonavala-Lonavala Yard:
November 26 to December 6, 2025
Train services particularly affected from 26-29 November
