The Central Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Friday said that it will operate a mega block on its Trans-Harbour and Main Lines on Sunday.

An official statement said that the Mumbai division of Central Railway will operate Mega Block on its suburban sections carrying out various engineering and maintenance works on October 26 as under-


Main Line:



Matunga-Mulund up and down fast lines from 11.05 hrs  to 15.45 hrs
 
Down fast line services leaving CSMT Mumbai from 10.36 hrs  to 15.10 hrs will be diverted on down slow line at Matunga station halting as per their respective scheduled halts between Matunga and Mulund stations and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule. Fast trains beyond Thane will be re-diverted on down fast line at Mulund station. 
 
Up fast line services leaving Thane from 11.03 hrs to 15.38 hrs will be diverted on up slow line at Mulund station halting as per their respective schedule halts between Mulund and Matunga stations, will be re-diverted on up fast line at Matunga station and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule

Trans-Harbour Line:

Up and down Trans-Harbour Line between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations from 11.10 hrs  to 16.10 hrs
 
Up and down Trans-Harbour line services will remain suspended between Vashi / Nerul and Thane stations during the block period.

Down line services for Vashi / Nerul / Panvel leaving Thane from 10.35 hrs to 16.07 hrs and 

Up line services for Thane leaving Panvel / Nerul / Vashi from 10.25 hrs to 16.09 hrs will remain cancelled.
 
"The maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the administration for the inconvenience caused," said the official statement.

Meanwhile, in an another statement on Thursday, the Central Railway said that it will operate a series of special traffic and power day blocks between October 24 and November 1, 2025 to carry out post non-interlocking works linked to the Karjat Yard remodelling project.

According to officials, the blocks are essential for infrastructure maintenance and safety.

The block will be in effect from 11:20 am to 1:20 pm on October 24 and from October 27 to November 1, and from 11:20 am to 3:45 pm on October 25 and 26, 2025, the Central Railway said.

The affected section will be Nagnath Cabin-Karjat, the officials said.

During this period, suburban train services between Karjat and Khopoli will remain suspended, the passengers are requested to take note, they said.
