Western Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Friday said that it will operate a 36-hour major block on fifth line and yard lines from Saturday afternoon, May 31, to dismantle an elevated booking office at Kandivali Yard.

In an official statement, the Western Railway said that to facilitate the dismantling of elevated Booking Office at Kandivali Yard, a major block of 36 hours will be undertaken on the 5th line and yard lines from 13:00 hrs on Saturday, 31st May 2025, to 01:00 hrs in the intervening night of Sunday/Monday, i.e. 1st/2nd June, 2025.


Due to the block, at least 73 suburban local services will remain cancelled on the first day and 89 on the second day, officials said, adding that the suburban and mail express trains will be run on Fast Line during the block that will start at 1 pm on May 31 and end at 1 am in the intervening night of Sunday/Monday.



According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek during the block, suburban and mail express trains will be run on Fast Line.

Details of affected trains are as under-

Short Termination/Origination/Partially cancellation of trains:

- Train No. 19418 Ahmedabad – Borivali Express journey commencing on 30th & 31st May, 2025 will short terminate at Vasai Road. Hence, this train will be partially cancelled between Vasai Road and Borivali.

- Train No. 19425 Borivali – Nandurbar Express journey commencing on 31st May & 01st June, 2025 will short originate from Bhayandar. Hence, this train will be partially cancelled between Borivali and Bhayandar.

- Train No. 19426 Nandurbar – Borivali Express journey commencing on 31st May, 2025 will short terminate at Vasai Road. Hence, this train will be partially cancelled between Vasai Road and Borivali.

- Train No. 19417 Borivali – Ahmedabad Express journey commencing on 01st June, 2025 will short originate from Vasai Road. Hence, this train will be partially cancelled between Borivali and Vasai Road.

Due to this block, few suburban trains will be affected and will be cancelled. Detailed information about the trains is available with concerned station masters, the Western Railway said.

It said that the passengers are requested to please take note of the above arrangements.
