Western Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Thursday said that it will operate a jumbo block at Vasai Road Yard including all goods line and Diva lines on July 25 night.
An official statement said that to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block will be taken from 00:15 hrs to 03:15 hrs at Vasai Road Yard including all goods line and Diva lines during the intervening night of Friday/Saturday, i.e. on July 25/26, 2025.
"There will be no block in the day time over Western Railway Suburban section on Sunday, 27th July, 2025," the Western Railway said.
WR revises reservation chart timings from July 14
The Western Railway had earlier this month announced changes to the reservation chart preparation timings, which will come into effect from July 14, 2025, an official statement said.
It said that the revision is in line with new guidelines issued by the Railway Board and is aimed at improving efficiency and passenger convenience.
The statement said that in accordance with the latest guidelines issued by the Railway Board, the schedule for preparation of reservation charts for Western Railway will be effective from July 14. This initiative aims to streamline operational processes and enhance passenger convenience.
According to a press release issued by the Public Relations Department of Western Railway, in line with the directives received from Railway Board regarding the preparation of first reservation chart the schedule is as under-
- For trains departing between 05:01 hrs and 14:00 hrs, the first reservation chart will be prepared by 21:00 hrs on the previous day.
- For trains departing between 14:01 hrs and 16:00 hrs, the chart will be ready by 07:30 hrs on the same day.
- For trains departing between 16:01 hrs and 23:59 hrs, and those leaving between 00:00 hrs and 05:00 hrs, the chart will be prepared eight hours prior to departure.
"There is no change in the timing of the second reservation chart, which will continue to follow the current system to allow for last-minute bookings," the official statement said.
It said that the passengers are advised to take note of these changes while checking their booking status before travelling.
