<p>Sparks from a local train due to a technical snag at <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/borivali-all" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Borivali</a> station led to a minor disruption on the Western Railway on Sunday afternoon.</p>
<p>Commuters said there were sparks and loud noise from the pantograph of the train.</p>
<p>Services were restored after a few minutes.</p>
<p>Confirming the incident, a <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/western-railway-articles" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Western Railway</a> spokesperson told Mid-Day, &ldquo;Between 2:32 pm and 2:50 pm, there was a technical issue in the panto which resulted in sparking. The problem was attended to and the train has now moved ahead. There are no repercussions.&rdquo;</p>
