The Western Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Friday said that it will carry out jumbo block between Borivali and Goregaon railway stations on Sunday.


In a statement, the Western Railway said, "To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block of five hours from 10.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs between Borivali and Goregaon will be taken on up and down slow lines on Sunday, May 26."


According to a press release issued by Public Relations Department of Western Railway, during the block period, all up and down slow line trains will be operated on up and down fast line between Goregaon and Borivali stations.


The Western Railway said that some up and down suburban services will remain cancelled and some Andheri and Borivali trains will be worked up to Goregaon on Harbour line.

"During the block period, no trains will be dealt from Platform No. 01, 02, 03 and 04 at Borivali station," the Western Railway said.

It said that detailed information is available with concerned station masters. The list of cancelled trains will be available in station master’s office.

"Passengers are requested to please take note of the above arrangements," the Western Railway said.

Some trains to be affected due to block between Churchgate and Marine Lines stations

Meanwhile, in an another statement, the Western Railway said that a major block of three hours will be undertaken during the intervening night of 25th/26th May, 2024 (Saturday/Sunday) from 01.10 hrs to 04.10 hrs for de-launching of main girders of Wankhede Foot Over Bridge (South) between Churchgate and Marine Lines stations. Due to this work, few Mumbai Suburban trains will be short terminated.

According to a press release issued by Public Relations Department of Western Railway, the details of these trains are as under:

Trains partially cancelled between Mumbai Central – Churchgate:-

1.    Train No. 91014 Borivali - Churchgate local departing Borivali at 00.10 hrs. of 26th May, 2024 will be short terminated at Mumbai Central.  

2.    Train No. 91018 Virar - Churchgate local departing Virar at 23.49 hrs. of 25th May, 2024  will be short terminated at Mumbai Central.   

3.    Train No. 91020 Borivali - Churchgate local departing Borivali at 00.30 hrs. of 26th May, 2024  hrs will be short terminated at Mumbai Central. 

4.    Train No. 91024 Virar - Churchgate local departing Virar at 00.05 hrs. of 26th May, 2024 hrs. will be short terminated at Mumbai Central.

5.    Train No. 90011 Churchgate – Virar first local departing Churchgate at 04.15 hrs. of 26th May, 2024 hrs. will remain partially cancelled between Churchgate-Mumbai Central and will depart from Mumbai Central at 04.25 hrs.  

6.    Train No. 90015 Churchgate – Borivali local departing Churchgate at 04.18 hrs. of 26th May, 2024 hrs. will remain partially cancelled between Churchgate - Mumbai Central and will depart from Mumbai Central at 04.28 hrs.  

7.    Train No. 91012 Virar – Churchgate local departing Virar at 23.30 hrs. of 25th May, 2024, will arrive Churchgate at 01.10 hrs. This will be the last local to run from Virar up to Churchgate on 25th May, 2024.
