Four people were injured after a cylinder blast triggered a fire in a room at Dighe Chawl, behind Rekha Medical near Vakola Bridge, Dhobi Ghat in Mumbai's Santacruz East area on Thursday evening.

The incident was reported at 6.52 pm, following which the Mumbai Fire Brigade rushed to the spot. The blaze was brought under control and extinguished by 7.26 pm, officials said.
