Biker with pillion hits pedestrian at Mumbai's Marine Drive; all three killed

A speeding motorcycle allegedly jumped a signal and hit a pedestrian crossing the road near Marine Drive early Monday, killing all three people involved. Police said CCTV footage is being scanned to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine whether any other factors contributed to the fatal crash

A triple fatality was reported at Marine Drive in the early hours of Monday after a speeding motorcycle allegedly jumped a traffic signal and struck a pedestrian crossing the road. The incident occurred at around 5.40 am on the northbound carriageway of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road near the Parsi Gymkhana (Parsi Gate) junction.
Police said a motorcycle, ridden by Krushna Desai, 19, with Chandani Imam Ali Shaikh as pillion, was going at high speed. Desai jumped the signal and struck 66-year-old Kishore Lamne, who was crossing the road. The collision flung all three onto the road, leaving all three critically injured.
