Commuters on the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-metro-updates-mumbai-metro-offers-discounted-passes-for-differently-abled-commuters-android-users-to-wait-check-details-23604535" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai Metro Aqua Line 3</a> experienced delays during the morning peak hours on Tuesday after a technical issue forced a brief halt in operations.
According to the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL), a malfunction in one of the trains at Siddhivinayak station led to services being suspended for around 10 minutes. The fault was rectified promptly, officials said.
&ldquo;Due to a technical issue in one train at <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-metro-line-3-to-start-early-at-630-am-on-sundays-from-august-31-23590908" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Siddhivinayak station</a>, services were briefly halted for approximately 10 minutes. The issue has since been resolved. As a result, trains are currently running with a delay of about 5 to 10 minutes. Our teams are closely monitoring operations, and normal services are expected to resume shortly as per the timetable,&rdquo; the MMRCL said in a statement.

The MMRCL had recently announced 25 per cent discounted trip passes for differently-abled passengers on the MetroConnect-3 app. The update is currently available only for iOS users, as it is still awaiting approval from Google. Once the update is approved, Android users will also be able to access the discount.
The MMRCL said the feature aims to make metro travel more affordable and convenient for differently-abled commuters. Passengers using <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-metro-updates-mumbai-metro-line-3-riders-can-now-connect-easily-with-uber-heres-how-23603050" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Apple devices</a> can start booking discounted trip passes immediately.
The MMRCL assured Android users that the feature will be available soon and encouraged them to keep their MetroConnect-3 app updated for the latest version.
