The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has imposed Rs 6 crore in penalties on the contractor and general consultant of Metro Line 4 after an iron staging collapsed at the Bhakti Park station construction site in Wadala last Saturday, killing two workers.
MMRDA said a detailed examination found safety lapses and that accountability had been fixed.
