Six years after work commenced, Mumbaikars will soon be able to use the Mumbai Metro after it successfully conducted the last set of trial runs

The Mumbai Metro project is one step closer to its opening, wit the Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL) successfully completing the Research Design and Standard Organisation (RDSO) trial at maximum speed of 90 kmph.
MMOPL successfully completed the RDSO oscillation and emergency braking distance (EBD) trials in record time of 11 days, much ahead of the RDSO scheduled time of 22 days. This also means that the 11.07 Km Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar (VAG) metro line moves a step closer to being commissioned.
