Some granite stones fell into a barricaded area near Mira-Bhayandar Road near Thunga Hospital in Mira Road East on Monday during ongoing debris removal and material-shifting work at Medetiya Nagar Station of Metro Line 9.

A school van was not hit by the falling stones, but its tyre was later punctured after the vehicle ran over smaller pieces of granite scattered in the vicinity.
