Mumbai rains: Central Railway says suburban services remained operational despite heavy rainfall

Central Railway said its suburban services on the Main, Harbour and Trans-Harbour corridors continued to operate despite heavy rainfall across Mumbai and its suburbs. The railway credited advance monsoon preparedness and the deployment of 210 dewatering pumps

Central Railway (CR) on Friday said its suburban train services on the Main, Harbour, and Trans-Harbour corridors continued to operate despite extremely heavy rainfall across Mumbai and its suburbs over the past 48 hours.

According to a press release issued by Central Railway, several parts of the suburban network recorded heavy rainfall during the period.
