Mumbai, neighbouring areas receive heavy rainfall as monsoon arrives

The weather department has predicted cloudy sky with moderate rain/thundershowers in Mumbai and suburbs. There is possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.

As monsoon arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday, the city and neighbouring areas received heavy rainfall and water logging was witnessed in several parts of the city.
Mumbai has been witnessing rains from Tuesday morning, but the India Meteorological Department (IMD) termed them as pre-monsoon showers.
