The police have arrested the man who masturbated at a 22-year-old woman in the wee hours of June 29 at CST. Isha Chitnis was about to board the Tapovan Express to go to Nashik with another female colleague. She had even shot a video of the man in the act, but it did not deter him. The police traced the pervert with the help of CCTV footage on Wednesday.
&ldquo;The pervert in the crime that happened at CST on June 29 at 5.45 am was arrested today. A complaint was registered under Sections 354 and 509 IPC at CST police station,&rdquo; said ACP Machindra Chavan, CST division, Mumbai Railways.

&ldquo;We traced the accused within six hours by checking CCTV footage at a CST Railway platform. The name of the accused is Ashok Pradhan (20), he is a resident of Chembur, and a native of Orissa,&rdquo; he added.

It is learnt that a constable Chitnis had approached had not taken action then. Police said, &ldquo;The constable who was present at that time didn&rsquo;t inform this incident to his superior, and the department has decided to take strict action against him.&rdquo;
That morning According to Isha, the accused unzipped his pants and went on with his &lsquo;business&rsquo;, even as the commuters waited to board the train.

&ldquo;I was on the platform, looking into the coach, and he was looking at me through the window&hellip;I even moved to another seat, but he also did the same.&rdquo; By 6 am, Isha&rsquo;s colleague arrived. &ldquo;He started jerking off looking at both of us,&rdquo; said Isha, who had recorded the incident on her cell phone. &ldquo;What surprised me was that there no police desks closer to the platforms. Why was there not a single female officer at the station?&rdquo; she said.
