Mumbai: Coconut thrown from running train hits Central Railway staff

A Central Railway (CR) staff succumbed to injuries after a plastic bag containing coconut and floral waste hit him on Vashi Bridge today.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, the incident occurred when 36-year-old Santosh Kadam, a signal maintainer at CR, was examining railway signal in Vashi. An unknown railway commuter threw the bag containing coconut and floral waste from a CST-bound Mumbai local around 12.30pm. The bag, instead of falling in the creek water, hit Kadam and left him seriously injured.
