Mumbai: No COVID-19 vaccination for those over 45 years

Slots for vaccination of limited people were to open after 7.30 pm on Sunday for the 18-44 years old for Monday. At least 2,438 people received the vaccine on Sunday.

People over 45 years of age will have to wait further for vaccinations as the BMC hadn’t received a stock of vaccines till late evening on Sunday. The BMC had stopped the vaccination programme for three days till May 2 due to the non-availability of vaccines. But on Sunday, it declared that there will be no vaccination for Mumbaikars 45 and above even on May 3. Slots for vaccination of limited people were to open after 7.30 pm on Sunday for the 18-44 years old for Monday. At least 2,438 people received the vaccine on Sunday.

At least 93 doses given on Saturday were counted in Sunday’s tally.
